Jeremy Hermida had 4 hits and 3 RBI at Dodger Stadium as the SSB SSB Tar Heels
belted the struggling Streator Reds by the count of 15 to 1.
Hermida provided much of the offense. He singled in the 1st inning, lined a
one-base hit in the 3rd inning, clubbed a three-run home run in the 7th
inning and hit a single in the 9th inning. SSB bats were very productive in
the 1st inning with 6 runs on 4 hits. SSB had many opportunities throughout
the game and scored in 6 separate innings.
The victory went to Clayton Kershaw(7-11) who went 5 and 1/3 innings, allowing
1 run. Trevor Cahill(1-6) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 6 runs and
4 hits in 1/3 of an inning.
